Ink Removal

For the removal of inks, there isn’t one chemical that is effective at cleaning all different ink types. Some chemicals are great at removing a certain type of ink but are limited by how you can use them (eg. a chemical might be great at removing UV ink but rubbish to use in ultrasonics) to help you find the right chemical for your desired purpose please consult the table below. You can also call us to discuss your options.

Caresol 8802

Caresol 8802

The basic chemical in our caresol range. It’s our oldest and most popular chemical for general cleaning. With a heavy caustic base it cleans everything from inks to grease and heavy carbon residue. diluting at 5-10% with water it is a very economical way of cleaning virtually anything in ultrasonic tanks.

Caresol Ultra

Caresol Ultra

Ultra is a stronger chemical in our caresol range. With a higher concentration of sodium hydroxide, the active ingredient which breaks down inks and grease, it is a powerful cleaner that when used with one of our ultrasonic tanks can remove inks without breaking a sweat. We recommend diluting in water at 5-10%  for the best clean.

Caresol Remove 1

Caresol Remove

The latest addition to the caresol range, caresol remove is great for immersion ultrasonic cleaning. It is highly caustic which makes it a powerful cleaner for the quick removal of all ink types. Like the rest of the caresol range, it should be diluted to 5-10% in water.

Caresol UV

Caresol UV

Caresol UV is specifically formulated for the removal of UV inks and coatings. When diluted to 5-10% and used in an ultrasonic tank it is one of the best products available for lifting UV inks. This is the perfect product for printers that use mainly UV inks and need to clean their anilox rollers regularly.

Greenkleen

Caresol Greenkleen

Greenkleen is a product for cleaning anilox rollers which removes all types of inks to return cell volume and keep print quality up. Greenkleen should be applied neat to the roller and worked in by hand using a scrubbing brush*.

Ecosoak 5500

Ecosoak 5500

Ecosoak 5500 is an alkaline cleaner from our ecosoak range that is effective at cleaning water based and uv inks in ultrasonics. this chemical should be used on harder, ferrous metals. This product should be used in an ultrasonic tank diluted in water at 5-10%

a 25 litre drum of ecosoak 5500R

Ecosoak 5500R

5500R is a similar product to 5500 in that it is great for cleaning water based and uv inks but unlike 5500, it is safe to use on aluminium. The difference is that it contains more detergent and less caustic making it an equally as powerful cleaner.

Citrasol HDA

Citrasol HDA

Citrasol is a citrus based cleaner that removes solvent based inks from anilox rollers and print parts. Citrasol HDA is safe to use with aluminium and removes inks fast and effectively. This product works best when used in an ultrasonic tank, diluted down to around 5-10%.

Caresolv

Caresolv

Caresolv is very capable chemical for removing solvent inks from anilox rollers and print parts. Caresolv is best used as a hand applied spray as it doesn’t transmit ultrasonic waves very well. We recommend using it along with a chemical  in an ultrasonic tank such as Ecosoak 5500 and spray it on directly during the cleaning cycle. This lifts the ink and allows the ultrasonics to remove it with ease.

a 750ml bottle of ink buster.

Ink Buster

Ink buster is our strongest ink removal product. This if for your tough, hard to remove inks and for rollers that haven’t been cleaned for a long time. Ink buster must be handled with care and safety procedures must be followed as the product contains sulphuric acid. It should be applied neat and scrubbed onto your anilox roller  using a brush* before being rinsed.
