Whilst we’re not always asked this directly, some of you may be wondering “Why does ultrasonic cleaning cost so much, don’t you just put it in the tank and leave it?” so we thought we’d shed some light on the costs….
Our costs are determined by several factors
- Size and weight of the item(s)
- Number of parts
- How dirty the parts are
- Packaging requirements
For one of our larger ultrasonic tanks, it costs roughly £500 for man and machine per day. For each clean, we need to bear in mind how much chemical will be required, how many man-hours, and the power usage that will be required.
Some jobs are as easy as putting it in a tank for a few hours then shipping straight back out. For others, it requires constant work from multiple staff members. If items need to be individually packed at the end of the clean it will bump up the cost as this takes a lot longer and uses more materials.
We price each ultrasonic cleaning job individually using these points to assess how much work will be required.
For larger jobs, we will usually perform a trial clean before giving a final price as we can only fully gauge how a job will go once we have tried it out and found the correct method to use.
